Mike and Jessica tied the knot in a sweet ceremony at Assumption Catholic Church, then celebrated their "I dos" at the Loews Chicago Hotel. All photos by Michael Paul Photographers.
Mike, on how he and Jessica met...
"We met on a half-blind date. Mutual friends put together a group happy hour, and told me that she was going to be there and might be someone I should meet. They left Jess in the dark, because they thought she'd sabotage it!"
Mike and Jess, on how they knew they were perfect for each other...
"Well, after our initial half-blind we went on our first real date. We ended up going to a bar after dinner and discussing our favorite episodes of "The Office", and the rest is history! We met each other’s huge, crazy families and it just seemed like it was meant to be."
Mike, on the First Look...
"Because of it being a winter wedding, we did pictures beforehand to capture the daylight hours and I got to see her before the ceremony. It was just the two of us and the photographers, and when she came around the corner it was breathtaking. Making it even better, the boardroom that the groomsmen were in looked right into the area where we had the First Look. They told us afterward how cool it was to watch."
Mike and Jessica, on choosing to tie the knot in Chicago...
"We're both originally from Connecticut but wanted to do it here because Chicago has been our home for the last 5 years. We love this city, and it gave our families and friends an excuse to come out and visit..."
"...We chose December 3rd because we knew the hotel and the whole city would be newly decorated for the holidays. Everyone loved it!"
Mike and Jess, on one of their favorite memories from their wedding day...
"Drinking champagne on the party bus with all our wedding party, blasting 90's and early 2000's hip hop!"
Mike and Jessica, on their reception and The Loews Chicago Hotel...
"The reception was just so beautiful, with the white flowers and dark gray linens lit by mercury glass candles. The Loews has such a dramatic modern color scheme, it was just perfect."
"Instead of party favors, we donated to St Jude, and they gave us bookmarks to put on every plate letting our guests know about the donation. This was very special to both of us since Jessica lost her father two years ago to cancer."
"Our DJ made the night so special for us. He played the perfect mix of music and had everyone dancing all night. He also worked with us last minute, and we were able to get introduced as husband and wife at the reception in an amazing soul train line! Our wedding party also needs a shout out for that- they came up with their individual dances maybe 20 minutes before we walked into the reception. Someone videoed that clip and sent it to us and we crack up every time we watch it."

Jorie and Scott celebrated their "I do" at Barrington's White House with a reception full of vintage charm and romantic details. All photos by Daniel Prawica of Jolie Images.
Jorie, on how she and Scott met...
"We met back in 2011 at a welcome home party for Scott, after he returned home from his first deployment in the Navy.  I was invited by Scott’s sister, who became my best friend after we met as randomly assigned roommates in college."
Jorie, on prepping for her wedding day...
"Waking up that morning of the wedding day was so exciting but nerve-racking!  It was a lovely 60 degrees and perfectly sunny.  The girls made their way to the salon where we were welcomed with breakfast treats and mimosas.  The salon took great care of us and did a wonderful job on all of our hair.  The girls moved to the White House’s bride room to get ready, while the men got ready and shared a good luck glass of Scotch at my parent’s house..."
"...Getting married at St. Anne’s was very special, as it was the church that I was baptized in.  Our priest, Fr. Britto, was a former priest of St. Anne’s who came back to marry us.  Everyone loved him, I can’t tell you how many compliments I received about him!"
Jorie and Scott, on how they knew they were perfect for each other...
"We instantly felt like we had known each other for years; the first night we met we stayed up until 5 a.m. talking and getting to know one another.  We were truly committed to one another, as Scott left the area and went back to Virginia, where he was stationed in the Navy.  We knew we could handle the four years of distance and a 10 month deployment because of our connection, communication, and love for one another."
Jorie and Scott, on choosing Barrington's White House...
"Having our reception at Barrington’s White House really made it a unique experience. We wanted something different other than typical reception venues, and the vintage charm and all of the amazing details the house had to offer created an intimate, romantic setting."
Jorie and Scott on their vendors...
"Our vendors were truly amazing. Our florist really understood my “vision” and captured it perfectly. Our photographer, Daniel, was amazing as well.  Not only did he capture the precious moments of our day, but he went above and beyond; he put the boutonnieres on all of the guys and even helped Jordan with her dress!"
Jorie, on her favorite memory from her wedding day...
"The whole day was amazing, from the weather to getting ready to walking down to aisle to dancing the night away at the reception.  I truly enjoyed being surrounded by everyone we love and to finally be marrying Scott."
Scott, on his favorite memory from his wedding day...
"My favorite part of the day was just seeing how happy Jordan was and knowing that her dream wedding had become a reality.  Also, it was amazing to see how much fun everyone was having and how well our families meshed together."
