Spring has sprung and with it, gorgeous new color combos for the season. From timeless hues to unexpected pairings, this spring is full of color surprises to set the mood, reveal the season, and show off the wedding style. Since the wedding look pivots around the wedding colors, they are an incredibly important part of the design aesthetic. Let’s take a look at three of the hottest wedding color palettes trending for spring.

Orchid | Violet | Eggplant | White
There’s good reason why Radiant Orchid is Pantone’s color of the year: it’s beautiful. It just grows on you! An interesting shade of purple and pink, orchid is visually appealing—not to mention playful and romantic. The many shades of purple are a perennial favorite for weddings and they look exceptionally crisp and contemporary when paired with white. Whether pops or all-over, there are so many ways to carry this spirited shade throughout your look—from your décor and attire, to your flowers and wedding stationery.

Are you a fan of this pretty purple?

Navy | Sky Blue | Coral | Peach
Navy is a timeless wedding color and perfect for any time of year. It’s simply always fashionable—whether for a sleek and nautical wedding theme, or for a style that’s more trendy and collegiate. Teaming this signature color up with the likes of sky blue, coral, and peach bring out a different side of navy—one that’s youthful and modern. Coral and peach are cheerful colors that lighten the mood and balance the subdued look of navy. How to set the tone and put a modern twist on this maritime classic? Simply thread coral, sky and peach into the text color and graphic elements of your wedding stationery.

Keep it classic or add a fresh pop of color?

Cornflower | Sky Blue | Ice Blue | Gold
Cornflower blue is a hot wedding color for spring! It’s an invigorating shade that works well across the palette and with other bluesy pastels. It’s a dramatic shade of blue—full of energy and boldness. Gold is another trending color that brings something quite unexpected to this pervasive palette. And since gold is inherently glamorous, it quickly adds a sense of style and sophistication to the overall look.

Glam it up or keep it monochromatic?

See other Bridal Beauty series posts: Bachelorette Bash + Stylish Shower + Final Dress Fitting + Engagement Photo Session

If you've been taking my beauty advice so far, dear brides, you had your makeup trial on the day of your wedding shower. That daytime affair was the perfect opportunity to see what your loved ones thought of the look you and your makeup artist worked together to achieve, and also the chance for you to see how your face lasted. Now that you know you love your chosen artist, why not take advantage of her skills and try something totally different? If you can, book your makeup artist for the day of your rehearsal dinner!

Your rehearsal dinner is usually the kick-off to your wedding festivities. It is bound to be a fun and highly photographed evening, so enlist the services of a pro to help you look and feel your best. If your makeup artist does hair as well, treat yourself to a blow out. You can save your bridal makeup and up-style for the following day, but big, bouncy hair is always sexy. This is also the perfect time to try a more sultry look. Maybe go for a statement lip color, what I call a party mouth! Red is always classic, but bright pink and hot coral are big for spring and look amazing with almost any skin tone.

You could also try a smoky eye, which is one of the most highly-requested looks of any makeup artist. Take a classic grey palette and infuse it with deep blues or greens, or do a sophisticated purple look. Done well, a darker eye looks smoldering and confident. If you have time, get your lashes done--a full set of individual lashes will last a few weeks and look phenomenal. If you don't want the full set, try a strip lash or individual clusters, both of which your makeup artist can apply.

Whatever look you decide on, have fun on the night of your rehearsal dinner! Your fiance will love seeing a different side of you and it sets the tone for a fantastic, glamorous weekend. The prettier you feel, the more beautiful you will be!

No one plans for a disaster at their wedding. Sometimes things just happen. But if you're working with the right professionals they can smooth out mistakes and stop tragedies before they even occur.

I'm a bride myself, and I know how scary it can be to start booking vendors. First you see the price and all you hear in your mind is the sound of a continuous cash register cha-ching. Then you have the fear - what if this vendor doesn't deliver?

But here's the thing, if you hire good, well-recommended vendors, you will not have that problem. Hire professionals. I promise it's the way to go. We totally understand that every couple has a budget. But cutting corners to save money can lead to bigger issues down the road.

Recently, our friends over that Michelle Durpetti Events made a really amazing blog post about this whole issue. We wanted to share it with you, our readers, so you can get a glimpse of the other side of the wedding industry -- the side that is passionate about helping to create your dream wedding!
